Kúr T-shirt - Hey Bro

Kûr collaborated with Harshi Liyanage for the design of this t-shirt. The artwork is inspired by the story of 'The Monkeys and the Water Demon'. When monkeys wanted to drink water from an unknown pond, they noticed the presence of a demon in the waterbody. The Monkey King, the Bodhisattva - an 'enlightened' being, guided the monkeys to use bamboo shoots as straws to drink water without getting into the pond. The Monkey King had the power to remove the knots in the bamboo to allow them to use this as a straw.

Harshi and Kasuni wanted to use this story to communicate the alternate options to plastic for straws considering the need of the day.
